Information collected

If you get in touch, I may collect your name, email address, business details, website address and any other information you choose to include in your message.

If we work together, I may also keep project correspondence, agreed requirements, contracts, invoices and payment records. I do not collect payment-card details through this website.

How information is used

I use this information to:

• respond to enquiries
• understand and discuss potential work
• provide agreed website services
• manage projects and client relationships
• issue invoices and maintain business records
• meet legal, accounting and tax obligations
• protect the security and operation of the website and business

Lawful bases

I process personal information where it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract, fulfil a contract or meet legal obligations. I may also process it for legitimate business interests, such as responding to enquiries, managing projects and protecting the website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. If you choose to allow Google Analytics, I rely on your consent for that processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer once analytics is enabled.

How information is shared

I do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by trusted service providers that support the operation of my business, such as email, website hosting and accounting services. If you allow analytics, Google also processes analytics information to provide its Google Analytics service. I do not use Google Analytics for advertising.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards are relied upon to protect it.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as it remains useful for responding to or following up an enquiry. Client and financial records may be kept for longer where needed to provide services, resolve queries or meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

Cookies and analytics

When analytics is enabled, this website stores your choice in your browser so it can remember whether you have accepted or rejected analytics. This preference is used only to remember your choice and is not used to track you. The hosting provider, Vercel, may also process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs, to deliver and protect the website.

When Google Analytics 4 is configured, it loads only if you choose “Accept analytics”. It helps me understand which pages people visit and how they find this website, so I can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as page views, session statistics, approximate location and browser and device details. It uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_... to distinguish visitors and sessions. On this website, those cookies are set to expire after six months.

If you reject analytics or do not make a choice, no Google Analytics data is collected. If you withdraw your consent later, tracking is disabled and Google Analytics cookies are deleted. The legal basis for analytics is your consent. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer once analytics is enabled.

Google provides the analytics service and may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used. When I configure Google Analytics, I set user-level and event-level data retention to two months. Aggregated reports may be available for longer. Your rights

You may have the right to request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, ask for information to be deleted, object to or restrict certain uses and request a portable copy where applicable.
